The Centre des Monuments Nationaux offers your film crews access to a unique collection of monuments whose diversity reflects the richness of France's heritage.

The cathedral basilica of Saint-Denis is an essential part of European history. The first Gothic monumental masterpiece, the basilica combines artistic perfection with political power. It is an astonishingly rich location for shooting films, series, documentaries, adverts and photo shoots.

Requesting filming permission: it's compulsory!

All filming, whether photo or video, must beauthorised by the monument. This agreement may be given for a fee or free of charge, depending on the intended use of the images (commercial or non-commercial).

The contract signed (known as an AOT) will include specifications setting out the rules to which filming must conform for reasons of personal safety and security. All filming requests should be addressed to our services (see contacts below).

Respect for people and property

When you are filming, you must take care not to damage the works of art or the premises.

You undertake to maintain the premises occupied by the filming, as well as its installations, both inside and outside, in the best possible state of maintenance and cleanliness.
