Free tours in French, Monday to Saturday at 11.00 and 15.00, and on Sundays at 12.30 and 15.00. Duration: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Free tours in English on Fridays at 15.30. Duration: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Sign up on arrival at reception; no advance booking is required and there is no additional charge on top of your ticket price. Guided tour of the medieval garden in spring and summer
You can explore the basilica’s medieval-inspired garden during your visit to the Fabrique de la Flèche. Usually visible only from the surrounding area, the garden is exceptionally open to the public during guided tours in spring and summer. You’ll then be able to stroll along its paths and discover the secrets of this space. This intimate setting offers a remarkable view of the Gothic apse. Guided through this medieval-inspired garden, you will discover medicinal plants, symbolic flowers and rare species, whilst learning about their uses and meanings.

Guided tour in French or English
Join a guided tour of the Saint-Denis Cathedral Basilica with a qualified guide. You’ll enjoy a unique insight into the splendour of its Gothic architecture, its majestic façade, its south rose window—magnificently restored in 2021— the chancel stained-glass windows, restored in 2023, and the largest royal necropolis, containing over 70 tombs of the kings and queens of France, dating from the 12th to the 16th centuries. Your guide will also take you on a tour of the sacristy and the Valois Portal, which are usually closed to the public.
