    Every Sunday from 17 May to 13 September inclusive, from 1.30 pm to 6 pm (except 21 June).

    Public holidays: Monday 25 May, Tuesday 14 July and Saturday 15 August from 1.30 pm to 6 pm.

    Every day the garden is open at 4.00 pm.

Overview

Usually only visible from the surrounding area, the medieval garden of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint-Denis opens its gates exceptionally during the summer months, on Sundays and public holidays.

On these occasions, guided tours in French will also be available: accompanied by your guide, you’ll stroll through this intimate setting, situated below the monument, offering an exceptional view of the exterior of the Gothic apse.

During this unique experience, let yourself be guided through this hidden green haven, designed according to the principles of medieval gardens. You’ll wander amongst medicinal plants, symbolic flowers and rare species, accompanied by your guide, who will reveal the uses, symbols and secrets of this exceptional garden.
